Everett Lloyd MacDonald

On Sunday, July 19, 2015, surrounded by his family, Everett Lloyd MacDonald, loving husband of Irma (Webb) MacDonald passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a brief illness. Born 1938 in Saint John he was the son of the late Vernon and Evelyn (Gibbon) MacDonald.

In addition to his loving wife of 56 years, Irma, he is survived by his children Lloyd MacDonald (Elaine); daughters Lori Greer and Lynn Casey (Mike); grandchildren Alexis Truax (Shawn), Catherine Mudge (Nick) and Norman Greer (Chelsea); great grandchildren Ethan, Oliver and Emelia Mudge and Charlotte “Charlie” Martin. He is also survived by his sisters Verna Bishop (Ralph) and Esther McQuade (Roland); several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Everett worked as a Civil Engineer by apprenticeship most of his life and he took great pride in the projects he managed, particularly the development of the Irving Nature Park and the golf course in St. Andrew`s.

Everett was a wonderful person and was loved by many because of his fun loving and amazing sense of humor. He has touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his poker friends and daily ``Coffee Club`` friends.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Everett was a Past Master of Hibernia Lodge 3 of the Free and Accepted Masons of NB. There will be a Masonic Service on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.

The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery, followed by a reception at the funeral home.

Remembrances in memory of Everett may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
