Eric Josselyn

With sadness, the family of  A. Eric Josselyn announce his passing which occurred on July 20, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital at age 95.  He was born in Saint John, NB on October 22, 1920 to the late Albert and Mary (Gilliland) Josselyn.  He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Norma (Wyatt) Josselyn.

In his early years Eric ran the family farming enterprise until it was sold in 1964.  He then entered the insurance industry ultimately establishing his own agency, Josselyn Insurance Ltd., which he operated until his retirement.  He was a lifetime member of the Silver Falls United Church and played many active roles.  He was a charter member of the Probus Club, a member of Hibernia Lodge #3, the Luxor Shriners Railway Unit and the Lancaster Golden Seniors Service Club.  He and Norma enjoyed wintering in Pinellas Park, Florida for more than 20 years. Eric had a keen interest in family, especially his children and grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Along with his wife Norma, he will be fondly remembered by his children; Albert (Andrea), Larry (Debby) and Glenn (Sharon); 7 grandchildren; Krista Cowie, Troy Josselyn, Neil (Tanya) Josselyn, Craig (Jennifer) Josselyn, Karen (Greg) Pattman, Sara (Jonathan Careless) Josselyn, and Peter Josselyn; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Eric was predeceased by his brother Stuart Josselyn and his sister Helen Miller.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424), with visitation held on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm.    A funeral service will be held from Silver Falls United Church on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11am with interment to follow in Fernhill Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Eric may be placed to Silver Falls United Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
