Eleanor Jean (Ewing) Reimer

It is with great sadness that the family of Eleanor Jean (Ewing) Reimer, loving wife of the late Alvin Reimer, announces her passing which occurred on Tuesday, September 19th 2017 at her residence. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, June 30, 1941, she was predeceased by her parents Leonard and Hazel (Campbell) Ewing.

Eleanor, a focused and driven entrepreneur, owned a variety of successful businesses. She spent over 30 years in the Real Estate Industry in Washington State as an independent Real Estate Agent and Broker.  Eleanor enjoyed a healthy outlook on life and opened a Spa and Wellness Centre and became a certified personal trainer.   She raised, trained and owned horses and spent her youth as a member of the Anglican Church in Hampton volunteering in her community.   

Eleanor is survived by her children Ward (Phyllis) Reimer of Washington State and Lori Reimer (Colin) of Tynemouth Creek, NB. She is also survived by her brothers and sister; William “Bill” Ewing of Bains Corner, Nancy Maynard (Eric) and Robert “Bob” Ewing (Susan) both of Tynemouth Creek, aunts and uncles; Margaret Ryan, David Ewing (Sue) and Ron Ewing. Several nieces and nephews.

Eleanor will be missed by her cherished grandchildren; Kane, Anne, Joey, Jade, Elizabeth and Grace, great grandchildren; Keeley, Braxton, Kynleigh, Christopher and Aurora.

Eleanor spent her life surrounded by many close friends and business associates and will be greatly missed by all.  She loved and will be missed by her furry companion "Charles." 

Eleanor’s funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Please join the family at their home on Friday, October 13, 2017 beginning at 6:00 PM for a celebration of Eleanor's Life.  Memorial Donations in memory of Eleanor can be made to the Fundy Trail Cancer Walk, Peace Health Medical Center Cardiovascular Surgical Services in Bellingham, Washington, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, SPCA or a charity of your choice.
