Edna G. Roy

Surrounded by her family at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Edna G. Roy, loving wife of Amedee Roy, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.  Born in Neguac NB., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Marie (Poirier) Allain.
Edna was a dedicated mother and grandmother, the center of her family.  She will be loved and missed.
She is survived by her sons Norman(Lynne)of Sussex, NB.,, Ulysse (Lynn) of Quispamsis, NB., and Marc (Sherry) of Quispamsis, NB., daughter Lola (Bill) Brown of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB., and son in law Bill Bower of Ottawa, ON; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great - great grandchildren; as well as, several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Edna was most recently predeceased by her daughter Odette on May 7th, 2012; brothers Joseph, Ernest, Hector, Allain, Bruno and Romeo; her sisters Isabelle, Ethel, Lydia and Corinne; daughter in law Ruth and her granddaughter Patty-Jo.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB., (646-2424) with visitation Saturday and Sunday from  2-4 and 7-9 pm . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Edna Monday, June 4th, 2012 from St. Mark’s Catholic Church,171 Pettingill Road  at 10 am, where Fr. Donald Breen will also Celebrate the life of her daughter Odette as well. Interment  in St. Joseph's Cemetery followed immediately by a reception at the church.
