It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Edith Marilyn Legere, loving wife of 57 years to Raymond Legere, which occurred on Tuesday November 29, 2016 at the Loch Lomond Village. Edith was born 1941 in Saint John and was known to her family as the best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother in the world. She was an avid Montreal Canadien’s Fan, she enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting and camping. In addition to her husband Raymond, she is survived by her children Paul (Denise) Legere, Linda (Gene) Sweeney, Tony (Melissa) Legere and Su-Anne Gray; grandchildren Ashley (Matt) Manuel, Bradley (Bridgette) Legere, Jillian (Craig) MacPhee, Deanna (Nathan) Milne, Adrian Sweeney, Rebecca Legere, Shayne Legere and Joshua Gray; great-grandchildren Liam, Olivia, Carter and baby Manuel; brothers David (Sally) Arbo, Reg (Sharron) Adams and David Lahue; sisters Shirley Thorne, Bernice Mason and Marilyn LaFortune; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Gertrude, step mother Enid and a brother Gordon.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Friday December 2, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday December 3, 2016 at 10 a.m. The family would appreciate donations to the SPCA Animal Rescue or the charity of one’s choice.
