My condolences to Virginia's family. She hired me as a nutritionist at the University of Washington in Seattle in 1969, when I had just finished graduate school. She was a born educator and a great mentor, and she supported me so well in my early career. But I also remember her for her enthusiasm, sense of humor, and energy. Whether including me in a salmon fishing trip off the Pacific coast, going to a play, or getting a hamburger at a local drive-in, Virginia was always spontaneous and fun.
I have had updates about Virginia over the year from her friend Ann LeVasseur here in Seattle.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. The loss of a family member is perhaps the hardest time in persons life. We can take comfort in the knowledge that our Creator knows our pain. 1 Peter 5:7 "throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you."
