Dr. Cindy Ann McCormick

It is with profound sadness the family announces the unexpected passing of Dr. Cindy Ann McCormick of Saint John, in Lake Louise, AB on October 22, 2017.  Cindy was born in Edmunston, NB on June 29, 1971 to Richard and Diane (Irving) McCormick of Fredericton, NB and Matapedia, QC. 

Cindy was a very well-known member of the Saint John Dental Society, having been a practising dentist in the city for more than 15 years, she was the director of Bayside Dental Clinic. Cindy was involved in dentistry on all levels, also serving on the New Brunswick Dental Society’s Board of Directors for a number of years. She graduated from Nackawic High School in 1989; going on to UNB and Dalhousie graduating in 1997.  To know Cindy was to love Cindy.  She was very outgoing, well-spoken and full of life; funny, fearless and always with a new color in her hair.  Her coworkers enjoyed working with her, her patients found her to be kind and gentle, her friends and family loved her for her wild side as well as her humble nature.  She was very involved in her children’s lives and was always available for them.  She was active and liked to take them camping and played sports with them.  She had a beautiful smile that lit up the room and everyone who had the privilege to meet her and benefit from that smile directed at them will miss this wonderful woman with her gentle soul, and her amazing zest for life. 

Along with her parents, she is survived by her adored children; Simon and Abigail Clifford, brother James McCormick (Kim Vincent) of Fredericton and sister Sarah McCormick (Tim Siddall) of Saint John; nephew Benjamin and niece Ruby as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues, coworkers and many friends. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Sunday October 29th from 2- 8 p.m.  A memorial service will be held from River Cross Church, 61 Forbes Drive, Saint John on Monday October 30th at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Greg McMullin officiating. Private family interment at Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Cindy’s name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
