I tried to remember when I met Donnie and I honestly couldn't. He's always been there. My farthest memory of him was sitting at the kitchen table bugging mom," Linda what time did you say bed time was. Those kids are still up, shouldn't they have to go to bed now. Oh it's 5 after Linda."....lol. he bugged so much sometimes back then.. Then we became adults and we got things like advice and encouragement and praise.( and even more bugging but adult style.. lol)When we moved to Alberta he said to us you guys go out there and give it 5 good years. That's an honest try if it doesnt work out you have know shame. It's been 20 years. Thanks for the advice Don. You will be sadly missed. Gale and Galey and family my deepest condolences to all of you. Xo

With the deepest of hearts ,we are so sorry to here of the passing of Don Gormley.
A.K.A (Jetpuff).
He was a kind man with a huge heart and always ready to help anybody who needed it and we cant forget, that he would also have to tease or agitate somebody too at just about every opportunity he had.
Then he meet Gale you guys were a perfect match for each other.
Gale was someone who would tease and get Don going just like he did to others.
Always a hoot to be around both of them.
As we grew up we got to know Don more and he always was there for us and the family, and became kind of like a father to us all. Had never meet another person that would stir the pot just to get a rise out of someone, this is why we loved him so much i think.
We send or deepest condolences and our hearts and prayers are with you all.
Love Clayton Matheson and family.

To the family of Don Gormley; On behalf of the Saint John Vocational Alumni Association, please accept our most sincere sympathy in the loss of your dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. Don had been an active member and worked along side us for many years. It was so great to see and share with him at our Christmas celebration on the 23rd, Nov. I remember him from school as he was in the same class as my brother. Caring thoughts and prayers are with you all as you travel this most difficult season of life.
Sincerely, Louise Jonah-Craine ('62) , Alumni Liaison

My thoughts and prayers are with the Gormley family at this time. I worked with Don at the City of Saint John for quite a few years. As Safety Officer he would attend many of our work sites, often showing up when least expected but always welcome.
