David Edward Garland

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of David Edward Garland on May 5, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Saint John on January 4, 1980 to the late Paul and Judy Garland.

David was a union laborer working at the pulp and paper mill and oil refinery, among other locations. He was very mechanically inclined loved auto racing and enjoyed spending time at the Miramichi drag races. Dave was an off-road enthusiast his whole life from ATVs and dirt bikes to lifted jeeps. He also knew how to fix anything anywhere to get out of a pinch. He was a quiet and personable guy who helped a lot of people over the years. He put up a good fight and will be sadly missed.

David will be celebrated by his friends and his canine companions Sam and Cheetah.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with David’s wishes, no visitation or funeral service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
