Colin Tammas McConnell

It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Colin Tammas McConnell of Saint John who passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

Colin was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on September 14th of 1964. He is the son of Phyliss (Brown) McConnell-Mont of Saint John and the late Donald McConnell. Colin was a true gentleman with a witty and fun sense of humour; he enjoyed Turner Classic Movies, was a huge history buff, Star Trek Fan and enjoyed classic cars and traveling. Colin was a classy dresser who loved his fancy shoes. He brought such humour and joy to everyone’s life. In earlier days he worked as a waiter for Thandi’s and was head waiter for “Incredible Edibles”, most recently he was a salesman at the former Sears McAllister Place. Colin is survived and will be missed by his loving mother Phyliss; three sisters Donna (Bob), Diane and Debra; precious nieces and nephews Keenan, Alaurea, Molly, Sherrie and Shane; great-nieces & nephews and many friends. Besides his father Donald, Colin was predeceased by step-father Marsh Mont. Colin’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the SJRH.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Following cremation a celebration of Colin’s Life will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Reception Room on November 25, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Colin’s memory can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the SJRH.
