Cathryn Laurel (Landry) Bawn

With broken hearts, the family of Cathy Bawn announce her untimely and tragic passing on Monday, June 29, 2015.  Born in Saint John, October 9, 1964, she is the daughter of Carolyn Melvin (Stone) and the late Leon Landry.

Cathy was a capable and loyal worker and had been employed by Mr. Tom Marshall at the Petro Canada on Bayside drive for nearly 15 years.  She was good at her job and wore “many hats” within the business.  Cathy loved to dance and especially enjoyed country music.  She was a sociable, fun loving lady who spoke her mind.  She was well liked and will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Along with her mother Carol, Cathy will be missed dearly by her daughter Misty Bawn (Micheal Folkins); Misty’s father Michael Bawn; step-father Darrell Melvin, brothers Greg Landry (Luanne) of Moncton, NB Ivan Arsenault (Candy) of Hamilton, ON and Christopher “CR” Braniff of Saint John, NB; grandchildren Savana, Benjamin and Milo; her special Aunt Cathy Billiard and several extended family members.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her infant son Steven Bawn.

Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) where visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  A service celebrating Cathy’s life will take place Saturday, July 4, 2015 from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am, followed immediately by a time of fellowship and light refreshment.  Interment will take place in McKee Cemetery.

Remembrances in memory of Cathy made to Hestia House would be appreciated by the family.
