Dear Dwight and Susan, I am so sorry to hear that your mom has left us but having gotten to know her through a religious service we jointly offered at the first MPQG retreat at the Villa, she has only left us in body . Her spirit is with us as we remember her beautiful generous heart. I will remember her gift to me. Hugs Norah

Your Mom was such a wonderful lady. My favourite thing about her was her beautiful smile and kind heart. She loved everyone and always went out of her way to make you feel loved. She is at peace now and in no more pain even though she will be missed. We love you guys and pray that the Lord Jesus would strengthen you at this time. Hugs.

It was with great sadness that I read the news of Carolyn's passing. I am relieved she is at peace, but my world seems a little less bright today. I knew Carolyn through our association on several online quilting groups. She was always cheerful, funny and a joy to know. She used the alias "my good friend anonymous" when she was being a bit saucy, or particularly silly. We all loved that side of Carolyn. A few years ago, she had lost a dear friend whose nickname was Mattie. She said I reminded her of this friend and asked if it would be ok if she called me Mattie. I was honored by this, and the best part is that everyone on the group joined in so I got a new name. I will always remember Carolyn with a smile.

Dwight and Susan, and Susie.
I was so sad to hear that your mom passed away this week. Your family was such a big part of our lives growing up and your mom and my mom loved each other's company so much! They always had a great time chatting and catching up when we would make the trip to Saint John or you would come up to Moncton. I love that you posted a photo of your mom as a little girl. She was adorable wasn't she - and I find it especially nice for people to be remembered for all the many years they lived and they way they looked along the way. Sorry that you have lost both your mom and dad this year - thinking of you!

Dear Dwight, Susan & Sue Ann,
I am so sorry to learn of your Mom's, Grandmother's passing. These have been a difficult few months for all of you.
I met your Mom about 5 years ago when she was looking to get some ladies together to start a "Friends of Victoria Quilts Group" in Saint John. Immediately I was touched by her warmth & patience (as she helped us new to quilting learn), and her generosity to so many groups in the community. Truly she had a kind & generous heart. We had lots of fun and laughs, we have missed her this winter.
I hope & pray your special memories, time & the caring of family & friends will help bring healing to you.
I am away so will not be able to attend the service but you are all in my thoughts & prayers...today and in the weeks and months ahead.
She will truly be missed.
In sincerest Sympathy, Jacquie McKinley

I had the wonderful opportunity to spend a couple days with Carolyn and Allen when my husband and I drove to Canada for a vacation. We had lunch with them and they took us on a tour of the city. The following day she took me fabric shopping and we had a blast. I will remember her kindness, her jokes and her love of quilting. Thanks for being part of my life Carolyn. You will be missed.
