I was shocked to read of Brian's passing. I met Brian in 1964 when I joined the Commercial Union Assurance Company and he was an auto insurance underwriter and was my supervisor. 6 months later he was promoted to field representative , a position he held for only 1 year. He did not like being away and gave up the corporate job which eventually led him to start his own firm. I took over his road work and had many fine comments from the brokers he called upon.
