Bill Shaw

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of John William “Bill” Shaw which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, May 15th, 2017.  Born 1954, in Glace Bay, NS, he was the son of Jack Shaw (Mary Lou) and the late Elizabeth (Howie) Shaw.  Bill worked for the Irving Oil Refinery for over 40 years as a Stationary Engineer.  He loved boating and motorcycling; Bill had a magnetic personality and was the life of the party.  His grandchildren were his pride and joy. 

Bill is survived by his loving partner Suellen Sherwood and their dog Pepper; son Robert Shaw (Pamela); daughters Catherine Shaw, Kerry Shaw (Dan Theriault), Elizabeth Shaw and their mother Barbara Shaw; brothers Don Shaw (Supatta), Chuck Shaw, Ian Shaw (Cathy); sisters Terri Lyn Shaw, Brenda Howie; grandchildren Jack Shaw and Adelaide Theriault; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Friday, May 19th from 12 to 2 p.m.  A Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m.  Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the SPCA-Animal Rescue or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
