Bill Seymour

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of William Brenton Seymour which occurred at his home on Sunday, May 7th, 2017.  Born 1938, in Drury Cove, he was the son of the late Harold Thomas and Florence (Corkum) Seymour.  Bill worked as an Auto Body Repair Technician and Collision Specialist for many years.  He was an avid bowler, salmon fisherman and fly tier. He loved to hunt and enjoyed spending time with family and friends at his cottage on the Miramichi River.

Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife Grace (Myles) of 55 years; son W. Brenton Seymour (Anita) of Baxter’s Corner; daughters Lynda Seymour of Beaverbank, NS, Frances Seymour (Larry) of Fredericton; brother-in-law Gordon Myles (Karen) of Saint John; sister-in-law Bette Scott (Ron Sr.) of Gondola Point; grandchildren Kyle (Lisa), Emma, Cody, Levon, Alyssa, Jacqueline, Catherine; great-grandchildren Tyson, Mya and Ellie; nieces Katie Todd and Patti Leroy; nephew Ken Klempner; as well as many friends.  Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his sister Joan Todd.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Tuesday, May 9th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Memorial Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Wednesday, May 10th at 11 a.m. followed by an interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
