Bernard Lundy

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bernard “Bernie” Gerard Lundy, husband of the late Arlene (Coburn) which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 7th, 2017. Born 1934, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Joseph and  Hazel (Warren) Lundy.

Bernie worked at MRA’s and later owned Green & Lundy Flooring. He enjoyed curling and was a member of CPSA.  He was very active until a heart attack at the age of 39 which slowed his health down tremendously.

Bernie is survived by his sister in-law, Carol (Daryl) Ritchie, Aunt Ercella Connors, special niece Jennifer Ritchie and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his special friends Tawnie and Debbie and his feline companion, Poopsie.

In addition to Arlene and his parents, Bernie is predeceased by his brother Joseph Lundy and sister Lillian.

Arrangements entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  In keeping with Bernie’s wishes, there will be no formal visitation or funeral. A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
