It is with heavy hearts that the family of Anthony Edwin Guimond announces his passing on Thursday March 29, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1922 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Prosper and Jean (Eagles) Guimond. Anthony was a veteran of WWll serving in the Canadian Armoured Corp., Algonquin Regiment Infantry Division, until he was wounded in 1944. Following his service, he was employed with the DVA for many years, a job he really loved. Anthony had many hobbies which included horseshoes, darts, camping, playing cards and woodworking. He enjoyed fiddle music and playing the spoons but most of all he loved the Lord and cherished time spent with his family. He is survived by his loving wife Edith (Titus) Guimond; daughter Mary (Mark) Bartlett all of Hampton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter Sandra Leach, son Alvin Guimond, grandson Ian Leach, brother William Guimond and sister Doris Marshall.
