Anthony Burrell

It is with extreme sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our son, brother, fiancé, father, uncle and friend, Anthony Burrell, which occurred at his home on Wednesday, May 10, 2017.  He was born in Annapolis Royal, NS on October 30, 1988 to Fabian Cromwell and Dorothy Burrell and is the cherished grandson of grandparents Irene Ogden, Diana Cromwell and Clarence “Grampie Juggie” Bailey and was the devoted fiancé to Hope Jones. 

Anthony was a kind and caring man, who was very devoted to his family.  He loved basketball, in all forms from playing to watching.  He was a very relaxed and easy to get along with person.  He was always joking around and carrying on, but had the biggest heart.  He was funny and the life of the room.  He worked as a mover with McIntyre’s Moving & Storage until the company changed hands which allowed him to spend time with his children.  Taken far too soon, his family will just miss this wonderful man, and the joy he brought to their lives.

In addition to his fiancé, parents and grandparents,  he is survived by his two adored sons; Grayson and Messiah, 8 brothers; Andrew “Dru”, Brandon, Vince, Michael, Cody, Dante, Lucas and Jackson, 5 sisters; Rhya, Hayden, Shurenda, Ebony & Nikita, along with several nieces, nephews, friends and his special friends Craig and Mike and Nathanial Fells.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8pm.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 11am from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel.  Donations made in Anthony’s memory to the IWK Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
