Alta Mae (Brown) Tufts

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Alta Mae Tufts announces her passing which occurred peacefully on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on June 13, 1952 she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ella (Cosman) Brown. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Raymond Tufts.

She is survived by her spouse Marc Durelle; son Matthew Tufts (Crystal); cherished granddaughters Grace and Jenna; brothers Larry Brown (Ann) and Lance Brown (Debbie); sisters Bobbi Shannon (Bob); Margo Ellick and Carla Rogers (Hazen); extended family Carmelle, Rachelle and Michelle; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 2pm, with visitation from 12 to 2pm. Remembrances in memory of Alta may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
