Allan Walter Penman

Allan Walter Penman passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 5, 2016 at his residence in Welsford, NB.  Born April 7, 1957 in New Glasgow, NS he was the son of the late Alexander and Eleanor (Sheppard) Penman. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Joan.

Known to many as Big Al, he worked for H & R Block in Prince Edward Square Mall for many years. He was an avid collector of coins, comic books and all collectables and he enjoyed flea markets, antique shows and military shows. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, and will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his best friend and canine companion Bear; brothers David Penman and Ian Penman (Gail); sister Evelyn McGrath; nieces and nephews Colby, Kyle, Paula (Adam) and Pam; great nieces and nephews Jasmin, AJ, Alex and Luc. 

By request there will no visitations. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 2 p.m. Remembrances in memory of Al may be made to the IWK or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
