Alice (Gauvin) Gallant

Surrounded by her family, Alice Gallant, loving wife of Donald Gallant, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Dalhousie, NB on March 27, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Amédée and Albertine (Allard) Gauvin.

Alice worked at the Loch Lomond Villa for over 30 years. She was very dedicated to her work and her family. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

In addition to her devoted husband of 50 years, Donald, she is survived by her children Robbie Gallant and Michelle Edwards (Fred); cherished grandchildren Amber Haley (Brandon), Jordan Edwards, Tarryn Gallant and Connor Gallant and great granddaughter Olivia Haley; brothers Raymond Gauvin (Karen), Edgar Gauvin (Colleen) and Albert Gauvin (Lise); sisters Irene Robichaud and Rita Gauvin; her canine companion Baby; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Thursday, February 4 from 2 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception in the reception area. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Animal Rescue SPCA, Coulton's Special Care Home or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
