Alan Richard Wilson

With deepest regrets we announce the peaceful passing of Alan Richard Wilson at the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 15, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.  Al was born in Saint John, NB, on October 8, 1935 to the late Alfred and Willa (Jenkins) Wilson and was the loving husband of 58 years to Sandra (MacDonald) Wilson.

Al was employed at Saint John Shipbuilding for 35 years.  He enjoyed being at home or spending time at the lake with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife and best friend Sandra, brother Gerald (Karolyn) Wilson of Saint John, sister-in-law Karen Thomas of Hampton and brother-in-law David (Sandy) MacDonald of Saint John.  His four children; Rick (Linda) of Mississauga, ON, David (Susan) of Halifax, Jeff (Kim) of Saint George and Russell of Saint John, 9 grandchildren; Evan, Jake, Luke, Brandon, Kirstyn, Brandon C, Cassandra, Noah and Cohen, 3 great grandchildren; Ileana, Ethan and Grayson. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8pm.  A funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 1:00pm.  Al’s family would like any donations to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
